In collaboration with the American Embassy in Kathmandu, the Nepal Army acquired a contribution of HAZMAT and search and rescue equipment. This initiative provided search and rescue equipment as well as hazardous materials (HAZMAT), which are crucial for reducing hazards in hazardous situations. The supplies list contained required supplies such as turnout pants, haz-proof boots, helmets, hazmat cleanup brushes, shovel, with suspenders, multi-gas detectors, poly drum spill kits, neoprene gloves, emergency spill kits, plug and dike granules, Level A Deluxe suit, Chem MAX 3 Level C suits, Drager SCBA/PAPR systems, silver shield/4H hazmat gloves, chemical tape, and joint chemical agent detectors (JCAD). The prompt delivery of the equipment ensured that the Nepal Army would have everything that was required to execute efficient hazmat and search and rescue operations.
